INSPIRE-5Gplus paper on AI for B5G security included among IEEE ComSoc Selected Publications
The INSPIRE-5Gplus related paper “AI for Beyond 5G Networks: A Cyber-Security Defense or Offense Enabler?” has been chosen by the IEEE Communications Society Online Content Board to be included among ComSoc’s Selected Publications. The paper published in IEEE Network Magazine is co-authored by Dr. Chafika Benzaid and Prof. Tarik Taleb from INSPIRE-5Gplus partner Aalto University. Their paper sheds light on how AI may impact the security of 5G and its successive from its posture of defender, offender or victim, and recommends potential defenses to safeguard from malevolent AI.
The inclusion in ComSoc’s Selected Publications indicates the high quality of the INSPIRE-5Gplus-related research work on which the paper is based. “We feel very honored and humbled by ComSoc’s recognition of our work,” commented Dr. Benzaid.
IEEE ComSoc published a short video on YouTube summarizing the key results of the paper.
